MCL Signature Shots
The MCL Signature Shot NFTs are 360° batting shots, motion captured by professional cricketers. These batting shots are mapped and can be equipped to a specific MCL Batter.
For example, let’s say you’re using a Rookie MCL Batter like Meta Striker. In that case, MCL Signature Shot NFTs associated with Meta Striker, such as Meta Striker — Superstar Shot, Meta Striker — Mid-wicket Loft, etc., will be played by your Meta Striker Players.
At present, the MCL game has 3 distinct pitch types — Green, Dry, and Normal.
Each MCL Signature Shot NFT arrives with unique Pitch Stat Percentages for the three pitches.
The lowest Pitch Stat Percentage value is 5%, and the highest value is 30%.
All possible Pitch Stat values are 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and 30%.
Note: Refer to the “How does an MCL Signature Shot work?” section to understand the working of pitch type and stats.
Equipped MCL Signature Shot trigger situationally based on the ball delivery and batting shot direction. During the match, when the user makes the correct batting direction input to the relevant ball, the shot will get connected and activate, the MCL Batter will then have a slight uptick in stats based on the pitch type and predefined factor. The MCL Batter’s stats will revert back to the original stats on completion of the MCL Signature Shot.
For example, Bob uses a Level 1 MCL Rookie Batter — Meta Natty that is equipped with a Reverse Sweep Signature Shot, which has a 5%, 10%, and 15% pitch stat when used on Green, Dry, and Normal pitches, respectively.
Note: The pitch stat percentage applies to the difference value between the MCL Batter’s current level stats and maximum level stats.
Note: Each MCL Signature Shot NFT arrives with unique Pitch Stat Percentages for the three pitches.
Note: Each MCL Signature Shot NFT will trigger only once per over.
Therefore, Bob’s Level 1 MCL Rookie Batter — Meta Natty, will have the following performance on the different pitches:
No, the user cannot control when to play the MCL Signature Shot NFT as it triggers situationally based on the ball delivery and batting shot direction. During the match, the user must make the correct batting direction input to the relevant ball in order to connect and activate the shot.
The MCL Signature Shot NFT only adapts the user’s MCL Batter to play situational ball deliveries and batting shot directions. The outcome can be boundaries, or runs, or even catches.
The MCL Signature Shot (when triggered) will often help to improve the shot connection. A shot which might otherwise be a swing and miss will connect with the bat situationally.
If you own the matching MCL Signature Shot NFT and MCL Batter NFT, the shot will equip automatically.
No, the MCL Signature Shot NFTs cannot be leveled up.
